Privacy Policy

What happens to the information you send us through this website — and, just as importantly, what we never collect.

Who we are

GLOBAL EPI LLC is a public health corporation founded in 2023, based in Bayamón, Puerto Rico. This policy explains what happens to information you provide through this website, and what we do not collect.

It applies to this website only. It does not cover consulting engagements, which are governed by the contract signed for that work.

Information we collect

Information you choose to give us. When you submit the consulting inquiry form, we receive the fields you fill in:

  • Your name
  • Your organization
  • Your email address
  • Your phone number, if you provide one — this field is optional
  • The service you selected
  • The message you wrote

Information collected automatically. This website is hosted on GitHub Pages. Like nearly all web servers, GitHub records standard technical information when a page is requested, including IP address, browser type, and the page requested. We do not have access to those logs and do not use them.

Information we do not collect

We think this is worth stating plainly, because it is unusual:

  • No cookies. This site sets none.
  • No analytics. There is no Google Analytics, no tracking pixel, and no third-party measurement of any kind.
  • No advertising or profiling. We do not build profiles of visitors and we do not sell, rent, or trade your information to anyone, for any purpose.
  • No accounts. There is nothing to log in to.

If you never submit the inquiry form, we receive no personal information from your visit.

How we use your information

We use what you send through the inquiry form for one purpose: to respond to you and, if it leads to an engagement, to carry out that work. Specifically, to:

  • Reply to your inquiry
  • Understand the scope of what you are asking for
  • Follow up on a proposal or a scope of work you requested
  • Keep a record of the correspondence

We do not add you to a marketing list, and we do not send newsletters or promotional email.

Service providers we rely on

Running this website means a small number of companies necessarily handle some data. We name them rather than referring vaguely to “third parties”:

  • Formspree — processes the inquiry form. What you submit passes through their servers and is stored there so we can retrieve it if an email is lost.
  • GitHub — hosts the website and keeps standard server logs.
  • Google Fonts — serves the typefaces the site uses. Loading a font from Google means your browser contacts Google, which can see your IP address.
  • Tailwind CDN — serves the stylesheet engine, with the same implication.

Each of these companies has its own privacy policy governing what it does with that information. We do not control their practices.

How long we keep information

Inquiries are kept as long as they remain useful for the relationship — typically while a proposal is live and for a reasonable period afterwards, and for the duration of any engagement that follows. We remove inquiries that lead nowhere once they are no longer needed.

If you want your inquiry deleted sooner, ask us and we will do it.

Your choices and your rights

You can ask us at any time to:

  • Tell you what information about you we hold
  • Correct anything that is wrong
  • Delete your inquiry and our record of it
  • Stop contacting you

Write to global.epi.consulting@gmail.com and we will act on it. We will not ask you to justify the request.

Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws such as the GDPR. We will honor those requests regardless of whether a particular law applies to us.

Security

The website is served over HTTPS, so what you submit is encrypted in transit. Form submissions are held by Formspree under their security practices, and our correspondence lives in our email account.

We will be honest about the limits of that: this is a small organization using reputable third-party services, not a hardened enterprise system. Please read the next section before deciding what to send us.

Please do not send health information

The inquiry form is for professional and business correspondence. Do not use it to send protected health information, patient records, identifiable participant data, or any other sensitive personal data. It is not built for that, and we cannot accept such data through it.

If an engagement requires us to handle sensitive or identifiable data, that transfer is arranged separately through an appropriate secure channel and governed by the agreement covering the work, including any data use agreement or business associate agreement the work requires.

Children’s privacy

This website is directed at organizations and professionals. It is not intended for children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has sent us information, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of the page. Material changes will be described here rather than made quietly.
